Employee Health Services Holiday Food Drive


It’s that time again! Employee Health Services (EHS) is adopting a family in need this holiday season. Show thankfulness by feeding those in need! All nominations will need to be submitted to employeehealthservices@gainesvillefl.gov by Friday, Nov. 17. EHS will draw a name on Monday, Nov. 20. Please donate nonperishable items to any location you see a food drive box. Most donation boxes are located by time clocks. Food items will be collected from Nov. 8–17.

Sweetwater earns Great Florida Birding & Wildlife Trail designation

The City of Gainesville's Sweetwater Wetlands Park has earned the Great Florida Birding & Wildlife Trail site designation from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC). Neighbors are invited to celebrate the new distinction during a day of activities at the municipal park.

Annual performance appraisals are now past due, as of Nov. 1. This is a friendly reminder to please make use of the following tips, and Workday job aids available on the Community Builder Hub, accessible through the Workday help site. For any assistance, please feel free to contact DG_HR_Learning&Development@cityofgainesville.org.


How to retrieve annual performance status:

  • Managers can also log into Workday and click on the menu or search bar for “team performance” to view status updates. Click on “employee reviews” to enter the required information and access the status.
