As a follow up to conversations that Craig has had with the City Manager regarding the property at 730 NE Waldo Road, we would love to resume discussions on how purchase of this property could be a great opportunity for the City. You could move the fire supportive services from the Catalis building back to East Gainesville, which would help with the economic development that is desired. In addition, the fire training center and Station 3 could be moved there, which would free up more space in the MLK Center. Having these facilities in one location, on a major road, would make these services more streamlined.
We have put together a start of a discussion – see attached. Craig would love to discuss this with any of you. When would be a good time?
