FYI only - 1 of those noise signs is already installed by the basketball court. It looks good.

Checking with Dwright on installation timeline for the signs. They were still evaluating additional landscaping and netting so I’ve asked for an update there too.

Good morning, Andrew

WSPP designed two noise ordinance signs (see attached) to be installed between the basketball court and the concerned neighbor’s home. I’ve copied Dwright on this email for a timeline on the installation. The signs were fabricated by the sign shop earlier this week. Thank you,

Subject: [EXTERNAL] Elizabeth Hathaway; Nuisance and Safety Issues at A.N.N.E. Park

Mr. Persons:

I have left you a couple of voicemails, so I figured I would also try to reach you via email. My law firm has been retained by Elizabeth Hathaway concerning ongoing nuisance and safety issues she and her family are experiencing at their home at 2847 NW 63rd Place, which is next to A.N.N.E. Park. Ms. Hathaway has been in touch with several city officials over the past several months in an attempt to address the various problems her family has been dealing with due to their home’s proximity to the Park, which have included excessive noise, criminal activity, trespassing, property damage, assault and physical threats. Recently, Commissioner Ed Book indicated we should contact you about the ongoing concerns. At this point, I’m trying to determine what, if any, actions the City is currently considering to address the problems stemming from the Park. My understanding is the City may be considering no trespassing signage along the existing chain link fence, netting to prevent balls or other objects from coming over the fence, and/or shrubs/plantings that to make it more difficult for people to get to the fence entirely; however, we have not been provided any information about when or how such steps may be implemented, and my client remains concerned these steps will adequately address the problems. In this regard, I would like to schedule a call with you so I can determine where things currently stand and to discuss the situation and a potential resolution more fully. Please let me know when you have time for call in the next week. I appreciate your attention to this matter.

Sincerely,
