Current marching orders for KACB are:
- Create and share draft event graphic/flyer with all planning members to garner approval for publishing in the next few days
- Check with community center on tables and chairs for the event
Action items for planning members:
- Share preferred agency logos for KACB graphic
- Ms. Strawder to share number of event helpers, share next neighborhood meeting date for Mr. Gonzalez to possibly attend

Introductions
- Planning members who remained on call: Carlos Gonzalez(KACB), Chief C. Williams(GFR), Chief J. S. Hillhouse(GFR), Joyce Strawder(Pine ridge), Mike Barnes(City Public Works), Brian Singleton(City Manager's Office), Andrew Persons(City Manager's Office), City Commissioner E. Book
1. Event Date and Location
- Saturday, July 19, 2025
- Main venue to be outside of Pine ridge community center
- Cleanup to take place on the right of way and culverts of NW 23rd Terrace. From NW 34th Blvd to NW 13th St.
- Main event (morning set-up time = 8-9AM), Public start time 9AM running until 12PM with materials and collected litter due at 11AM. Tear down to be completed by 1PM
- KACB to bring/have supplies for cleanup volunteers (trash bags, litter grabbers, safety vests and gloves)
- KACB to manage online registration for the event
- Invitation to fellow organizations to table at the event - Commissioner Book and KACB
- KACB to manage the check in/check out table with Ms. Strawder's team and potentially a member from GFR.
- Committed organizer with day of duties:
Carlos Gonzalez - Manning check in/check out table with KACB table and tent
Joyce Strawder - Helping check in/check out table with materials distribution
Commissioner Book and ___?__ - Serving food and drink?
City Inspector - Managing Roll-off
GFR - Auxiliary support (4 members)
2. Disposal of materials collected
- Roll-off potentially to be placed on NW 59th Ave by NW 23rd Terr.(awaiting site use permission) - City and GFL
*Roll-off to be removed from site at 11:15AM
- On site trash bin for main venue waste - KACB
- GFR trucks to help with transporting collected material to roll-off
3. Publicity/promotion - KACB
- Event graphic/flyer to be shared with other agencies to help spread awareness, physically posted in Pine ridge community with help from Ms. Strawder's team
- Social Media (Facebook and Instagram) including a Facebook event page
- KACB's website
4. Food
- The City to provide food and drink for volunteers - Commissioner Book and KACB
- Supply of compostable dish/cupware - KACB
