Dear Mayor and Commissioners,

The League of Women Voters of Alachua County thanks you for adopting the Climate Resiliency Plan presented by Dr. Zhu at your January 16^th, 2025 meeting. The plan makes real and measurable at least a portion of the actions that will make Gainesville an increasingly resilient community in an increasingly challenging world.

The League wants you to know that its members will cooperate and support in all appropriate ways in the realization, measurement, and modification of the plan as it unfolds and in response to your directives. The plan was created in an inclusive environment with the willing and creative contributions of many citizens. We are all committed to continue contributing to an even more resilient Gainesville.
