Starting seeds and preparing cuttings require essential tools, equipment, and growing media. Presenters will demonstrate these two propagation techniques while discussing planting dates, seed recommendations, plant selection for cuttings, and proper use of tools. 

There is no registration fee, but participants must register online. Limited to 100 participants.

Mastering Safety in Protected Structures -  January 24 from 9am to 1pm, at the Alachua County Ag Auditorium (22716 W. This workshop is designed for producers in protected agriculture. The topics will include physical and electrical hazards, chemical storage and compatibility, ergonomics, and emergency response protocols. This is an excellent opportunity for growers and managers to train themselves and personnel to prevent injuries and avoid accidents. 

The registration fee is $15.00 (plus $2.85 Eventbrite fee) and includes refreshments. Participants must register online by January 20. There will be no refunds for the registration fee.

Advanced Pruning & Winter Care – January 29, from 9am to 2pm, at the Alachua County Ag Auditorium (22716 W. This workshop is designed for landscape professionals and will discuss various topics including winter landscape management, proper tree pruning techniques, and engaging in hands-on activities. 

Continuing Education Units (CEUs) have been requested for Commercial Lawn and Ornamental, Limited Commercial Landscape Maintenance, Limited Lawn and Ornamental, Ornamental and Turf and Core.
