IT IS THE SEASON FOR NUTCRACKER!

Two tree lightings, seven NUTCRACKERS, a Giving Tuesday, and three outreach activities down.

And NOW we REALLY get busy with many performances and extraordinary events in Gainesville and Ocala for you to enjoy.

Pirouettes for Giving Tuesday!

LOOKING BACK!

Two performances in Alachua at Legacy Park that featured Dance Alive National Ballet and students from DANB’s outreach program in special performances during intermission.

Two performances at Newberry Opera House in South Carolina along with a Tea With The Sugar Plum Fairy. A beautiful venue and great audience.    Pictured, students from the Resident School, Pofahl Studios, in Party Girl costumes backstage

An important skill when touring... being able to adapt to the stage!

Newberry Opera House is exquisite; built in the 1800's, the stage itself is small with no cross over and limited wing space. Because of its history, beauty and crew... it is one of our favorite places to perform.

We had a sold out performance at the Sharon in The Villages before the Company left for two performances at Belle Glade, Florida.

The Sharon is a newer build with lots of space while the space in Belle Glade, the Dolly Hand Cultural Arts Center, is part of Palm Beach College and somewhat smaller.

Activities at the tree lighting in Alachua. Outreach teachers Alison Tucker and Marilyn Deiorio with two students who performed and then assisted by demonstrating as children watching joined in the experience.

MORE!

Thanks to Caroline Murray for clips from social media!

Tree lighting at Gainesville Airport.  Thank you, Deb Massey and Erin Porter who helped Linda Rocha decorate the “Nutcracker Tree”.  Company members and students from the school helped with the decorating by placing flex tickets in the tree.

This is an annual event for DANB and the airport. Visitors arriving can pick flex tickets from the tree to see Gainesville’s own professional ballet company presentation of NUTCRACKER.
