A request for the folowing issues to be addressed before the final vote.

1. How does the new RS category ensure that development is single-family only as intended?

How is rental development excluded in this new RS zoning category in accordance with the stated intention of increasing single-family home ownership?

2. Has a list of permitted and special uses in RS zoning been presented for public comment?

3. Has the map of current RS1-4 zones with a separate colour code for deed-restricted neighbourhoods been reviewed to assess the actual impact of future development in the new RS category?

The elephant in the room is deed-restricted neighborhoods and the unequal impact on older neighborhoods, a question/concern that has remained unanswered throughout the discussion of these changes.

4. What size of development in the new RS zoning category will trigger review by the Development Review Board or the Plan Board? Changes seem to be required due to the impact on neighbouring property values, infrastructure, greenspace, parking, etc.

5. No fiscal impact? This seems incorrect.

It would appear that greater review of proposed development is required. There is a potential for new infrastructure costs to support development in current neighborhoods and perhaps legal costs.

Sincerely,
Jane Burman-Holtom
