Thank you for the update. I’m sure you are aware that the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office contacted Richard Morris and interviewed him as you requested, and as was appropriate for them to do. My husband and I both agree that we are wasting our time expecting anything to change. Your system is flawed and I hope to never have to deal with LEO again…without an attorney by my side! July 19th. 10am. At GPD. Everyone is welcome. Sgt. Pandak, Why did say you can meet with me tomorrow (which is now today) but never respond with a time? Are you even working today? This is the exact experience I have had with LEO and it is egregious. I am available to meet anytime, so please advise. Good afternoon Sgt. Pandak, I responded back earlier but have not heard back. I am available anytime after 11am tomorrow. Please advise what time works best for you. The report taken by Officer Armstrong on April the 1st was closed on the 2nd. I would like to understand what thorough equates to within your agency. Tomorrow is the 4th of July but I am definitely available to meet anytime. I am free tomorrow afternoon, or after July 15th. However, I can reiterate to you now what I have mentioned in previous emails. Richard Eugene Morris was discovered to be connected to your daughter during her Missing Person investigation that the Alachua County Sherriff’s Office was conducting. It would be the responsibility of the investigating agency to thoroughly examine that lead. I believe you have an argument for that. In fact, your husband spoke with a Captain at ASO about that very topic. We cannot answer for their action or inaction. In the most recent report you filed with GPD, my detective thoroughly researched and summarized the above information, even adding her conversations with a detective supervisor at ASO. Unfortunately, the GPD patrol officer you met, made assumptions that may have been misleading. This responsibility still lies with the Alachua County Sherriff’s Office. Please let me know when you would like to meet. Sergeant John Pandak Gainesville Police Department Criminal Investigations Division pandakjm@cityofgainesville.org Good morning Sgt. Pandak, Please advise when you will meet with me. Your continued lack of a response is exactly what I have been going through and must stop. I am a resident in this City, who has been collectively ignored by every agency involved…but I will be heard and my issue addressed. Feigning investigative efforts and/or lying on police reports is totally unacceptable. **I am simply requesting the record of Richard Eugene Morris being contacted. The record should include date/time Richard was contacted, who was present, and the questions he was asked with his answers. Maybe you can liaise receipt of this record as DCF and ASO simply send me reports referencing CPI Dexter’s conversation. I have a right to request this information and have not received it to date. Yes Sgt. Pandak I have reviewed the ASO report (attached to this email) which is why I am confused by what was done. I have previously escalated with ASO regarding their lack of investigative efforts regarding the TWO nurses who failed to report my daughter’s sexual assault! The case Detective Michael’s thought he was closing ended up being re-opened and properly investigated. Every agency is pointing their finger at who is responsible for speaking with Richard, but no one has actually spoken to him! There are ZERO RECORDS OF ANY COMMUNICATIONS WITH RICHARD…please correct me if I am wrong. That is the bottom line. **ASO’s report does not mention any contact being made with Richard Eugene Morris; only referenced CPI Dexter’s communication** ASO contacted my daughter in Jacksonville who acknowledged him being her weed dealer (still illegal) but no one has contacted RICHARD EUGENE MORRIS from ASO, as your report indicates. I will definitely need to meet to address the reports and investigative efforts. Totally unacceptable! Hundreds of phone records from a 35 year old and a minor child needs to be properly investigated…if it means simply questioning him with those records in hand!? Please advise when we can meet. Ms. Carr Palmer, During our conversation Monday evening, I provided you with an ASO case number to an investigation that addresses these concerns specifically as it relates to Richard Morris. Have you had time to review that investigation? I believe that will answer your questions. If you would like to meet after reviewing the ASO case, we will do so. Sergeant John Pandak Gainesville Police Department Criminal Investigations Division pandakjm@cityofgainesville.org Good afternoon Sgt Pandak and Lt. Scott,
After reviewing the completed report of 24-004952 in its entirety, I have several concerns. My husband and I would like to formally meet with you both to discuss the handling of my allegations and your investigative process.
There is a major false statement in the report that needs be addressed. Furthermore, there is a question of due diligence in your investigative efforts. To start, there are no records of LE ever speaking with Richard Morris, although it’s documented. I have asked for the records and there are none. Sadly my records request with DCF yielded similar results, which I will be addressing respectively.
For the record, I am requesting to inspect the records/notes of any communications with Richard Morris. I have a right to this information and have yet to obtain anything. The record(s) that I am seeking should include details such as: date/time of interaction, what questions were asked, and who was present during the questioning. Sgt. Pandak advised me during his call on Monday that LE would be the ones to question Richard, not DCF…. although DCF notes having a conversation with him. I need the record and have a right to request it.
I have been disregarded this entire time all the while, public servants receive paychecks for a job never done! This is unacceptable and must be addressed.
Please advise when we can meet.
