Christine – thank you for your email. While I have not yet heard from Kinn’zon, I look forward to his call today. I would appreciate your help in setting up a brief call with Tony directly; as the head of GRU it is my hope that he can assist me in energizing the project at 931 University by no later than June 1. Some might see that as a tall order; I view it not as impossible, but achievable with vision and action. I look forward to hearing from Tony – and Kinn’zon – so I can better understand how we can work together to bring power to the building no later than June 1. Many thanks for your help. Larry

Good Morning Mr. Work,
I am reaching out on behalf of our CEO/GM, Tony Cunningham. He is unavailable this morning, however, we did provide this information to our Chief Customer Officer, Kinn’zon Hutchinson (cc’d on this email), who oversees new services). He will be getting in touch with you shortly in order to address your concerns, if he has not done so already.
Feel free to follow-up with me if you have yet to receive a response by tomorrow morning. Thank you in advance. Sincerely, Christine Kunkel Christine Kunkel Executive Coordinator CEO/GM Office Gainesville Regional Utilities (352)-393-1019

Good Day, Tony; I am reaching out for your assistance, Tony, with our project at 931 University and my need for utility services at this address. We’ve been working with GRU recently to clean up past due/overdue billings from the previous General Contractor and I believe we have addressed all of these outstanding bills.
I have now turned my attention to electric service, water and sewer. And while I believe we have sewer and water in hand, I do know that we have an upcoming bill – in the neighborhood of $1M – for water service. I am hoping you can help me gain some clarity on this item, and when we can pay that bill. I’d like to get if paid here in April so it is done and behind us and we have a clear path to hook up our water service.
On electric service, I wanted to speak with you on energizing our building by not later than June 1 of this year. While we expect to complete construction and achieve a Certificate of Occupancy (or a Temporary Certificate of Occupancy) by July 31, we can’t wait to energize the building until July. We’re looking for a June 1 date as we are trying to maintain a hectic schedule to complete the structure – and by end of May, we expect temperatures in the building to be 100 to 105 degrees. We are therefore looking to start up our AC units to begin cooling the building as soon as possible.
This week we expect to begin setting our electrical switchgear in place so as to have it inspected and approved by the first week of May. I’d like to begin work proactively with the GRU team to establish a timeframe to insure we have primaries in place to the property by the last week of May. Please kindly advise how I can best work with the GRU team to effect a timely solution to our needs to the benefit of all concerned. In closing, it is important to note that I am in no way looking to compromise safety or look for shortcuts. I want to comply with GRU regs, but do so as expeditiously as possible with your help.
I’ve successfully energized buildings over the past 12 to 18 months in Sacramento, CA, in Austin, TX (Elton Richards, Austin Energy) as well as New Haven, CT (United Illuminating, Chuck Eves) and several others. All the while, we’ve done so very safely and efficiently by working with our energy partners. I am hoping we can now do the same in Gainesville with GRU. Our new team is committed to successfully delivering this project by the end of July, 2024, and we are well on our way to realizing this goal. We are thankful for the cooperation of the City of Gainesville and GRU to helping us in reaching our goal!
I look forward to the courtesy of your reply. Larry
